Anthropocene Headdress

Working with my young daughter Erin we used local warm beeswax as a base to create a headdress from a dead crow we found.  It was named the Anthropocene Headdress because during 2014 when we made it, it was becoming almost impossible to contest that humans were significantly altering the climate.  I had noticed how well corvids did alongside human beings and imagined a time when this trickster of birds would be come one of our only winged creatures left on the planet.  Perhaps even in huge abundance.
